You often hear me talk about “Seeking the Lord”.  To find peace, joy, love, hope and truly understand your self worth? You need to!  (Note: That’s not just going to a building on Sunday and calling it good. It’s opening your bible and reading, getting on your knees and praying before posting to social media.  It’s relationship, not religion).

That said, another VERY IMPORTANT part of the process? Take notice of your surroundings.  And yes, that means your friends. When you start seeking God? He may take you places that others aren’t willing to go. You have to brave enough to let go of those not on the same path.  Sometimes? You even walk that path alone for a bit. Just you and the Lord. But then He brings others into your path and you start walking together, fighting together and loving together.  Never underestimate the power of the influence of those you surround yourself with as well as the things you watch and listen to.
