Relentless Pursuit

pursuit

In Genesis 32:26 we read “And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.”  This is the story of Jacob wrestling with the angel all night. Jacob never gave up in his pursuit.  His hip was out of joint, he had to be tired and weary, and yet he pursued until he got his blessing. The angel says in verse 28.. now get this… “And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and has prevailed.”

You want power that others don’t have? You want peace in the midst of the storm? It comes in your pursuit of the Lord.  Sometimes?  Like with Jacob?  It has to be a relentless pursuit in the midst of being weary and hurt.  But the bible promises us this… “When you seek me with your WHOLE HEART, you will find me”.  And when you are tired? Remember this one.. “Do not grow weary in well doing, for in due time you shall reap.” When you seek Jesus? Your name, like Jacobs, is changed. It’s changed from broken, busted and disgusted to Blessed, Mighty and favored. The old things are passed away, BEHOLD all things become new!

If you believe in Jesus? If you read the word? You HAVE to know that his promises are true and amen! God cannot lie. If you are feeling weary in your pursuit? Stand on His promises til the storm passes and victory comes.
